Meet Madhavi Bhoompalli, DDS

Dentist and Owner

Dr. Bhoompalli earned her dental degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2007, moved to Atlanta, and has practiced here ever since: 19 years in dentistry, 17 of them at Johns Creek Family Dentistry. Patients know her for being skilled and compassionate, and for excellent care delivered with a personal touch. Her philosophy is simple: treat every patient as your family.

She chose dentistry after noticing, again and again, that people struggling with their oral health were usually carrying other hardships too, and that taking the dental problem off their plate left them better equipped for the rest. Everyone needs oral health care, which makes dentistry a way to have an impact on every kind of life. Raised by parents who worked in healthcare, she learned early that good health is the greatest wealth a person can have, and not to take it for granted.

She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association, belongs to an implant study club, and takes several continuing education courses a year, with advanced training in Invisalign and dental implants. Her approach is conservative, and the biggest source of new patients is a referral, including people who come for a second opinion.

Away from the office, she spends her time outdoors with her husband and two daughters, reading, and listening to music.

Does the treatment hurt?

The question we hear most is whether treatment will hurt. Dr. Bhoompalli’s answer: we do not do anything in pain. Patient comfort is the number one priority, and every visit is built around it. If you are nervous, we start by establishing trust and giving you control, then explain, show, and only then do. Music and anti-anxiety medication are available when they help.

Your first visit is a thorough exam with x-rays, and it looks past the teeth. We check your bite and your airway, two things most often overlooked, and your overall wellness, because oral health and general health are the same conversation. The plan that follows is conservative and built around prevention. Dr. Bhoompalli explains why she recommends each option, and the decision stays yours.

Implants are planned from a 3D CBCT scan taken in this office, alongside digital x-rays and an intraoral camera so you can see what she sees. Oral care is not a quick fix; it is a lifelong relationship with yourself and with the people looking after your teeth. Two generations of local families have kept that relationship with this office, and second opinions are always welcome.
